In honor of the holiday, I decided to put Martina McBride’s Independence Day on the play list. The two Tom Jones numbers on the list were for Mr Burns.

I remember waking up to Mia Doi Todd’s 88 Ways one morning. How can you not love a song that has “gravity” and “entropy” in it? Unfortunately the other songs on the CD aren’t quite as good. This is the problem that iTunes was supposed to solve: buy only the songs you like; no reason to buy a whole album for one song. The funny thing is that I still buy entire CDs, even when I get them from iTunes.

Go figure.
